Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin a good example of Malaysian First

According to a news report in malaysia-today.net, the deputy chair of Angkatan Muda Keadilan was criticised by one of his comrades from Perlis Hasmuzair Hassan in the party assembly for openly stated his support for Article 11.

To me, Shamsul Iskandar has always been a man who dares to speak his mind.

He impressed me very much when he openly described the present Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi as a weak leader during a live-telecast Debat Perdana over TV1. He did not yield to his co-panelist MCA Youth Secretary Wee Kah Seong who wanted him to retract his remark on Abdullah.

Listen to his reply on the issue of Article 11...

Apabila Perlis membuka bicara,
Seluruh perwakilan memberi tumpuan;
Memang adat Angkatan Muda,

"Tahun lalu kita luluskan usul mewujudkan sebuah negara perlembagaan.

Article 11 deserves the support of all Malaysians for freedom of religion is vital for a multiethnic, multireligious and multicultural society like ours.

PM Abdullah has made a grave mistake for banning all talks on freedom of religion.

Shamsul has once again demonstrated to all his courage in upholding the freedom of expression and freedom of religion despite of pressure from his peers.

We need more cool and courageous young politicians like Shamsul (certainly not KJ /Hisham of the UMNO Youth or Wee/Liow / Ling of the MCA Youth ).

Well done, Shamsul.
